Characters of Xenoverse

Eleven years after his father Versil's disappearance, Kay battles his mother Clover to prove himself and sets out from Nova Ranch to find Versil, a search that draws him into the conflict with Team Dimension and the X Pokémon crisis engulfing Eldiw.

She challenges her mother Clover to begin her own journey to find Versil, is later given a PokéWES by Aster, and develops a close bond with Kay; she, Aster, and Trey later join the protagonist in the Xenoverse itself to confront the entity Vakuum.

Trey is revealed to be a reluctant pawn of Team Dimension, rigged with an explosive charge meant to be used against the legendary Dragalisk if his Pokémon team failed. In the climax he chooses to sacrifice himself so the others can escape, partially destroying Dragalisk in the process.

She battles the protagonist at the start of the game to test their resolve before letting them leave home, and can be re-fought after the player becomes Champion, at which point she reveals a hidden identity tied to a well-known Pokémon Adventures character.

First met in Hadwarf City after he helps put out a fire with his Suicune, Aster equips the protagonist with the PokéWES and repeatedly assists them against Team Dimension. He is later revealed to still hold the Champion title, fought atop Mt. Zodiac after the Four Cardinals.

Ginger fights alongside the protagonist as a double-battle partner against Team Dimension's A & B at the Newtron Library before the player can challenge his gym. In the Furious Battles post-game DLC (Pass 5, 'The Song of Memory'), he has since become the Champion of Eldiw.

Encountered meditating in the final room of his gym; the player must interrupt him repeatedly before he agrees to battle. As the first gym leader, his fight marks the true start of the protagonist's journey after they meet Aster.

Beyond his gym battle, Caspar assists the protagonist, Versil, and a character named Chrysler in confronting Ditto X boss battles at the Abandoned Bunker, tying him into the wider Team Dimension/X Pokémon plotline.

Reaching her requires passing three palace trials (an uncatchable Druddigon encounter, a fishing puzzle, and a guarded hedge maze). She does not reappear after the main story, including in the Furious Battles DLC.

First met trapped in her own gym while a Gengar X's spell affects the city's citizens; after being freed, she sends the player to deliver something to Abraham at Mt. Starburst before her gym can be challenged. She indicates Abraham was good friends with Versil before his disappearance.

During Henna's temporary absence, a Gengar X mind-controls the circus/gym staff; defeating them causes Gengar X to flee and Henna to return. Henna later succeeds Cardinal Abraham as one of the Four Cardinals.

His gym is themed around his music career and uses an in-fiction social-media (Instagram) tie-in as a gameplay/navigation gimmick.

Surge's backstory ties back to the Kanto/Johto Team Rocket era referenced elsewhere in the game's lore (including Versil's parentage), connecting the region of Eldiw to the wider Pokémon Adventures-inspired continuity the game draws on.

Abraham explains the history of the universe and the starter Pokémon to the player during a Mt. Starburst trial, and is stated to have been a close friend of Versil before his disappearance, linking him to the game's central mystery. He is later succeeded as Cardinal by Henna.

For most of the game Victor appears to be Team Dimension's true mastermind, a misdirection planned by Versil. His backstory involves a romantic interest in Trey's late mother Nives, which drove him to rebuild the fatally injured Trey as a cyborg. He confronts the player repeatedly and is fought as a boss in the Dimension Hideout.

Dahlia leads Team Dimension operations at Quasar Express and Sunflare Canyon (capturing a Rapidash X) and clashes with Trey at Steelix Gorge. Later, spurned by Victor's desperation over Trey, residual 'Fury' energy causes the entity Vakuum to possess her, and the player must defeat her Fury-possessed form.

The player first encounters them at the Newtron Library attempting to steal the Terrestrial Plate, fighting them in a double battle alongside Ginger; they reappear at Steelix Gorge clashing with Trey, prompting another double battle with Trey as partner. Later in the story they are disassembled and fused into a stronger unit called Sergeant S.

After learning Giovanni died in the Xenoverse at the hands of the legendary Dragalisk, Versil disappeared to secretly build Team Dimension, intending to destroy the Xenoverse and avert a prophecy he believed endangered his children. He ultimately sacrifices himself against Dragalisk in the story's climax.
